I also finally got copies of the European Elle magazine shoot that I did hair and makeup for a few months back in New York on Long Beach.
The stylist was Rachel from Stylebites! We shot this during Fashion Week on a freezing windy day on the beach.  A homeless guy decided to follow us towards the end of the shoot and pretended that he was an assistant.  He was actually quite young and told us that he's been living on the beach for years.  Quite a way to end the day......

I actually shot 3 editorials that day. A shoot early that morning on a rooftop in New York, this one and then back to the model's apartment to shoot a nighttime shoot.  That was a long day.  One thing that blew me away was the model's apartment. Gorgeous in dark brown velvet, dark wood, candles and glass... sooo elegant. I kept thinking, this is some model apartment! Turns out, the fashion editor was staying with the model Petra Nemcova, (former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model), and it was her apartment.  She actually walked in at the end of the day and said hello.....it was only when I got home that night when I realized who she was.....





Also, Excellent article from the New York Times, on the ins and outs of returning makeup. Seems like online shops are the way to go!
