Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse

A matte foundation with the feel of mousse.

iconWell, they sure got that right. First off, don't let the colors scare you. And they are way off. How? The colors look more intense and deeper in the pot than they do on. So first off, it's really hard to find your perfect shade so make sure you buy at a place that lets you take it back.

My fair skin with a light tan went for Nude (Light 4) which look extremely dark when I opened it at home, but goes on way sheerer then you think it would on. So, bad points on trying to find your perfect shade.

Good points? It went on sheer yet covered fantastic. And the soft mousse feel felt great going on, like air. (Does air HAVE a feel?) Then it goes matte, and then you look like you have matte foundation sitting on your skin, but if you buff, voila. Perfect Skin. It stayed on perfectly during humid LA summer, (best test would be humid NY summer!) and so far, I'm really liking this. Best to keep for Fall, when matte skin will be all the rage. Grade: B- in my book.

In Natural Light #02, this will "brighen and instantly reduce the appearance of puffiness, minimize dark circles with a lasting cool sensation." Well, the lasting cool sensation near my eyes leaves me a little scared, but it's really not that bad. Very slightly cool, but not cool enough to really do anything. The texture of this brush on concealer is great. Blends perfectly and does seem to conceal really nicely. Sadly, it's gone in a few hours leaving me to touch up again. Light reflectors? Never noticed. Reduce puffiness? Nope. A nice concealer? Yes. Best part, no cakiness, or creasing under the eyes. Dark circles may need two coats to see any difference. Grade: B in my book.

CoverGirl Fantastic Lash in Very Black

iconiconI know, I know. Another mascara. 3x the volume! Well, not really. It did leave my thin kinda there lashes looking amazingly dark. Thicker? Kinda. Thicker? Kinda. 3x the volume? I don't think so. But it lasted well, no peeling off, no flakiness, no irritation. Easy wash off. A great every day mascara if you ask me. For va-va-voom lashes, not even 3-5 coats of this stuff would do the trick, but I think I may have found a great everyday mascara that's easy on my eyes. Well worth the checking out!

Grade: An A for everyday wear in the mascara department.

Beach Bronze Lip Gloss Don't let the dark colors fool you. Sheer, pretty and easy to apply. A great texture without the stickiness, tackiness and thickness of most lip glosses. Yes, you may have to touch up a bit more, but I'd rather touch up than leave messy lip prints on everyone I greet. Check out their perfect for summer "Beach Bronze", shimmery bronze lipgloss, limited for summer edition. Great to add to summer beach bag.
